Cosmina Amariei has an academic background in monetary and financial economics. This has allowed her to have a sound understanding of financial instruments, intermediaries, infrastructures, and their interaction with the real economy. Throughout the years, her main areas of expertise expanded from monetary policy and transmission mechanism, financial integration and stability to more sectoral issues on retail and institutional investors as well as horizontal themes such as sustainable and digital finance. These resulted in taskforces, research reports, external studies, commentaries and events. Her main responsibilities include industry and markets analysis, policy and regulatory advice and engagement with stakeholders, making use of both quantitative and qualitive research methods.
